Furniture retailer Berry – the first in the Baltic States to install the latest versions of MS Dynamics NAV and LS Nav

Published: 1. March 2018

Berry stores in Lithuania offer the largest selection of furnishings and furniture in the country. Together with the opening of a new store in Latvia, the company has decided to use LS Nav built on Microsoft Dynamics NAV, a complete and modern retail management solution, in the new store. StrongPoint, which has been working with retail companies in Baltics for 24 years, implemented the integrated solution.

Microsoft Dynamics NAV is an enterprise resource planning (ERP) application designed for business process automation and advanced, well-organized management. It easily adapts to different needs and offers a lot of features and functionalities. LS Nav – the leading solution for retail – operates on the basis of the MS Dynamics NAV platform. LS Nav covers all retail business processes, from assortment management to sales processes at the cash register. It is flexible, configurable and adaptable to different specialized areas.

Adapted to special client requirements

Part of sales in Berry stores is based on ordering. Therefore, it makes their sales process different from many conventional patterns of trade. For example, when a buyer chooses a product, an order is placed in the special ordering module and a partial payment is made. The buyer pays the remaining amount after the delivery of the product. The retail management system LS Nav has the functionality necessary for this type of trade, which StrongPoint has tailored to the specific needs of Berry. It is the first time for this type of MS Dynamics NAV installation in the Baltic States.

Berry furniture store in Riga was the first to install the latest versions of MS Dynamics NAV and LS Nav (2017). It launched the modern automated system in the first store in Latvia in three months.

In Latvia, Berry is using the benefits of one system operating on a single platform. It includes all processes from financial accounting management to the final point of sale. The company achieved the main objective of the project – to execute orders much faster – allowing it to work faster, more efficiently and effectively.
