Retail Trends, Tech, and Tactics: Inside the Baltic Retail Forum 2025 in Riga

On May 22, StrongPoint hosted the Baltic Retail Forum 2025 in Riga, bringing together 120 retailers and tech innovators for a dynamic day of insights, networking, and future-focused thinking.

This year’s forum tackled everything from global retail trends to regional market shifts, with eight expert speakers sharing sharp perspectives and actionable ideas. Mark Thomson from Zebra Technologies kicked things off with real-world applications of AI in retail. StrongPoint’s own Andrius Kalašinskas followed, spotlighting how intelligent commerce systems are transforming retail efficiency. Linas Dabulskis of iToDEV challenged attendees to think like retail superheroes in the face of constant change.

Shrinkage and cyber threats also took center stage. Mark Hough of NCR Voyix addressed loss prevention, while Petter Fahlström from Truesec dived into the cyber threat landscape and how retailers can stay one step ahead.

Kārlis Purgailis from Citadele Bank explored key economic trends shaping 2025, while NielsenIQ’s Anda Dalina and Arturs Bulbo delivered data-rich sessions on consumer sentiment and smarter retail analytics.

The expo area buzzed with hands-on demos of cutting-edge tech, including the next-gen POS platform TreeCommerce, self-checkouts, Auto-ID tools, VoCoVo voice systems, Epson gear, Visma business solutions, and Verifone payment terminals.

A big thank you to all attendees, speakers, and partners for making this another standout Baltic Retail Forum. Held annually across Latvia, Estonia, and Lithuania, the forum continues to be the go-to event for forward-looking retail leaders.
