StrongPoint names the new CEO

On August 1st Jacob Tveraabak was officially announced as new CEO at StrongPoint.  Jacob Tveraabak has replaced Jørgen Waaler,  who has been with the company for more than 16 years.

Jacob Tveraabak worked together with Jørgen Waaler during a transition period of four months and took over the CEO role on August 1st, 2018.

“The Board is confident that Jacob Tveraabak, with his extensive international experience and leadership abilities, will lead StrongPoint to the next level. At the same time, we honour and thank Jørgen Waaler for having transformed the Scandinavian PSI Group. It’s now a company that is well positioned to become a global recognized provider of retail technology solutions,” says Chairman Morthen Johannessen.

Prior to joining StrongPoint, Jacob Tveraabak worked with McKinsey & Company for more than 11 years – managing and executing on numerous international projects around the world. In 2012 he joined Rema 1000 (a part of Reitangruppen) as director of Business Development and Digital Strategy. From 2016 he was the CEO of Miklagruppen (Bavaria Nordic) – a NOK 7 billion premium car dealership company.
