StrongPoint Announces First Pio Installation for UK‑Based Medical Logistics E‑commerce Company

Published: 16. February 2026

(February 2026) StrongPoint, a leading grocery retail technology company, has signed an agreement to supply and install its first Pio automated storage and retrieval solution for a UK‑based medical e‑commerce and logistics supplier.

Pio system is designed for smaller warehouse environments and operations where a full‑scale AutoStore installation is not required. The Pio range includes multiple configurations to suit different space and throughput needs. The customer has selected the Pio200 configuration, which fits the available warehouse footprint and supports current order‑handling requirements. Installation is planned for summer 2026.

The automation solution designed by StrongPoint will help the customer increase picking speed and accuracy, improve the use of existing space, and establish a more scalable, data‑driven fulfilment operation. It is also expected to strengthen inventory visibility, standardise core warehouse processes, and enable significantly denser storage within the current facility.

“Our approach is built around working closely with customers to understand how their operations actually run. That level of customer intimacy allows us to map real workflows, constraints, and goals together and design an automation solution that fits from day one. This agreement reflects the trust customers place in StrongPoint to address real operational bottlenecks with practical solutions that deliver measurable improvements,” said James Palmer, VP Automation and Robotics at StrongPoint.
