Quality Assurance Engineer

StrongPoint develops, integrates, and sells technology and software solutions for retail and provides maintenance and support services. The Team:

You will be an integral member of a passionate and collaborative cross-functional team, dedicated to working with cutting-edge products like POS and Self-service systems. The team consists of software professionals, including Product Manager, System Analysts, Quality Assurance engineers, Developers and other experts, in total 10.

The Product:

POS team is developing innovative Retail software suit devices (POS, self-service, mobile) and back office.

What will you do:

• Define test strategy, test suites, test cases following testing methodologies, techniques and best practices
• Define test tools for functional, performance, and scale testing in a programmatic manner
• Execute and evaluate manual or automated test cases and report test results
• Design, develop and prepare for automated execution (integration to CI/CD)
• Work closely with the development team to ensure high-quality project delivery
• Ensure that validated deliverables meet functional and design specifications and requirements
• Escalate test execution shortcomings and propose improvements
• Research and recommend automation tools to optimize different types of testing
• Maintain structured test plans, test cases and regression suites, ensuring coverage across all environments
• Collaborate closely with developers and stakeholders, contributing to acceptance criteria, defect tracking, and continuous quality improvements

What we expect from you:

• Solid experience in QA automation with a good understanding of the testing lifecycle
• Ability to independently design and maintain automated tests across UI and API layers
• Knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
• Hands-on experience with automated testing tools
• Creative way of thinking and courage to try out new things
• Open-minded and co-operative personality
• General understanding of Software development Life Cycle
• Knowledge of Front-End and Back-End applications testing
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL
• Ability to work with minimal supervision while remaining on-task and deadline oriented
